the community. Mr. Fred Byscholog delivered the picture.
The GAR post members were Veterans of the American Civil War of 1861-1865. The painting is documented in the meeting minutes
dated June 1894, page 23 this establishes the provenance and the link to the donor. The donor information is not disclosed
for privacy reasons.

Donations were solicited by the post and documented in the meeting minutes with a vote of thanks to the soliciting committee.The
buildings furniture, fixtures and pictures were insured for $500.00 on page 140 of the GAR post minutes.
